Jim Meyer

FOUNDER,MANAGING PARTNER

Jim founded Atlantic Capital Properties, an Atlanta-based real estate investment and development company, in 1996.  He also served as regional manager, market leader and partner from 2006 - 2014 with Tishman Speyer, after they purchased Atlanta assets in which Meyer was developer.  Prior to forming Atlantic Capital Properties, he served as a senior officer with Prentiss Properties, a $2B national office REIT subsequently purchased by Brandywine Realty Trust.

During his 30 year career in the real estate industry, he has been responsible for the development, acquisition, disposition, management and leasing of many major real estate projects in Atlanta and throughout the Sunbelt.   Specializing in institutional quality office and mixed-use properties, he has developed, acquired and operated over 15 million square feet with a value of over $2.5 billion.  Some of the projects include One Atlantic Center (1.1 mm SF), The Atlanta Federal Center (1.7 mm SF), Centergy One (550k SF), One and Two Alliance Center (1.1 mm SF), 171 17th Street (500k SF), Waterview (1.0 mm SF) and Equifax’s world headquarters.   He has been active in the primary Sunbelt markets including Atlanta, Northern Virginia, Orlando, Miami, Houston, Dallas and Raleigh.

 

Jim’s professional and civic affiliations and directorships include the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, Midtown Alliance, Atlanta Downtown Partnership, Buckhead CID, Northside Youth Organization, The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, The Durban Youth Mission, The Center for Executive Leadership and Northside Methodist Church.  Jim is also a Trustee of The Lovett School.  He graduated from Purdue University with a BS in civil engineering in 1981 and earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1984.

Chad Meyer

PARTNER,MANAGING DIRECTOR

Chad Meyer is Partner and Managing Director with Atlantic Capital Properties and has been with the firm since 2014. Prior to joining ACP, Chad worked for Jamestown, a private equity real estate investment company, in their Development & Construction department. Prior to Jamestown, he started his career as an office tenant representation broker at Jones Lang Lasalle.Over the course of his career in commercial real estate, Chad has been able to participate in a wide variety of projects and assignments. His current role is to lead ACP’s development and investments business.  In this capacity, he identifies opportunities, leads the predevelopment process including underwriting, financing, leasing, design and pre-construction, and then oversees the construction of the project.  He also has the role of pursuing and underwriting the acquisition of existing real estate opportunities.

He has experience working in a wide variety of assets including office, multi-family, distressed land and retail.  Chad is currently active in ULI, Midtown Alliance and the Marietta Street Artery Association. He graduated in 2009 from the University of Georgia with a BS in Real Estate.

Gavin Speaker

DIRECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION AND DESIGN

Gavin Speaker, Atlantic Capital Properties Director of Construction and Design, has worked in Construction Management Operations since 2012. Previously with Skanska USA Building, Inc. located in Tampa, Florida, his direct responsibility was to ensure the successful execution of large scale commercial construction projects.  His daily responsibilities included financial forecasting, risk mitigation, tenant coordination, and contract management.

 

Gavin’s professional affiliations include The Urban Land Institute, Florida Green Building Coalition, LEED, Associated Builders and Contractors, and NAIOP. Gavin received his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Maine and Masters in Real Estate Development from Auburn University.

K. Nicole Collier

OFFICE MANAGER

Nicole Collier is Office Manager at Atlantic Capital Properties.  Prior to joining Atlantic Capital Properties, Nicole worked for Holley Jewelers, a local jewelry store in Thomson, Georgia.  With over five years in the jewelry industry, she is well-versed in building rapport with clients and applying her business and analytical skills to financial and retail management.  Her current role is to support the team and all development efforts for large commercial properties located in Atlanta, GA, Charleston, SC, and Tampa, FL. 

Nicole graduated from Georgia Southern University, in 2019, with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in business.
